A note from Mohamed

Hello! If you're interested in graduate school or law school, that's great, and there are so many ways to get there. This guide is based on my experience as an undergrad and doesn't represent every experience. I encourage you to find what you're really interested in.

I made this site because, as an undergrad, I didn't know about all the opportunities I had. I wish I'd had a resource like this, so I'd have known what to do and how to make myself more competitive for PhD programs, and for the job market in case academia doesn't work out.

This is general advice. If you have comments, concerns or questions about the site or its sources, email me at mohamed.aljahmi@qc.cuny.edu. I'm always happy to help and can point you to the right resources on campus.

How it was put together

Every program, date and requirement comes from the program's official page, the Queens College catalog, or the CUNY office that runs it, and each was checked in October 2026. Where only last year's date is posted, the guide says "last cycle"; "~" and "est." mark dates estimated from the usual pattern. Deadlines change every year, so confirm on the official page before you apply.

Main sources

  • Each program's own page, linked from its name
  • The Queens College undergraduate catalog and department pages
  • LSAC for LSAT dates, fees and the fee waiver
  • APSA for RBSI and the Diversity Fellowship
  • University graduate school pages for PhD funding, application fees and visit programs

Print a one-page handout

One-page handouts, in black and white: graduate school and law school to print, or as PDFs with links to email to students: graduate school, law school.

Why this exists

Hello! I made this site because, as an undergrad, I didn't know about all the opportunities I had. It's based on my own experience, so it won't match everyone's. Questions or comments? Email me at mohamed.aljahmi@qc.cuny.edu. I'm always happy to help and can point you to the right resources on campus.

Not an official page

This guide is student-made, not a Queens College or CUNY publication. Dates change every year, so confirm each one on the program's official page before you apply.
